What if you fall off the mountain from passing on the right? would that be the other trucks fault for blocking the lane?:biggrin_2552:

I've always liked all the "if you have to chain it's not safe to drive" clowns. These are the same people I dealt with in Central Oregon and Central Washington last weekend. They either drive by the chain up sign and say, "The roads fine, I don't need chains!" Then the first hill, they spin out, blocking the road.

20 mile north of Madras OR , there was five of these clowns, spun out, blocking the road, putting there chains on to late, up the hill.

This just in! You get better traction with chains! Don't think your the "man " and don't need them, you clowns cost me 4 hours waiting for you to get your mess cleaned up.

Like I've always said, there's 2 types of drivers , 1 gets the job done, safely by putting chains on , the other is to fat and lazy to put chains on, and make the excuse "if you need chains don't drive" but still drives without them, and causes the wreaks.

One of our drivers had a bad day last week in the snowstorm.
Well it's.... oh I guess about 4 miles from the Georgia Pacific mill in Halsey,Oregon back to the freeway, they made it about 3 3/4 miles lol.
The slick stuff was mostly gone by the time I got there thankfully, think'n the tow bill on this wasn't cheap.
I guess running barefoot to the mill and back wasn't a good idea.

I wondered that myself, looks like you could push it over with a feather lol.
That is a pretty deep ditch and full of ice water so it's hard to tell what it's resting on down there.

It was either pass the stopped truck on the right or come to a complete stop and block all lanes for any trucks. There was far more room on the right than on the left. Not like he was going to "cut me off" unless he could chain up in less than 5 seconds.

But I suppose common sense would dictate I should have shut down a major freeway... ;)

    demi and otherhalftw Thank this.
