    well ladies and gents, time to clean the cobwebs off the jewelry and practice your chaining skills, winters here. Moderate to heavy snowfall on Berthoud Pass (US 40) last night, road surface was reported as wet, with slick spots, and snowfall at the 13,400 level

    true...however i have never needed to chain in any of those areas...

    As I recall the preferred method south of I40 is to park in the middle of the road until the National Guard comes and rescues yerself...

    Chaining is for the othe guys. My company won't ask you to do that and will reroute you out of snow EVERYTIME. We got it like that! :) year and a half running to MN, never had to throw them and never sat!
