Ice on 84 (and reports of freezing rain/fog all over from Wilsonville up past Seattle)...depart Aurora at 0001, light rain, 36*, light rain with pockets of moderate down to Medford and then open skies to Weed, 0500, 34*.....2 hour nap (age does that to a guy, plus the fools and those (*^*^(*^*^%(*&*^%#$@%^*) new headlights reflecting off the wet pavement and the high beam inconsiderate (*%&^%#$@#^%^*%*) drivers coming the opposite direction wore my eyes out!

Anyway....back to my recap-rant....25 minutes to crawl through the Dunsmuir scale (are they trying to compete with Banning?)...now the "who can be in front" game gets into gear, with those (*&%&^$#^*&&(%#*&(^)P) middle-0-eastern straightaway race trucks who get on the brakes to 40 mph through the full speed curves and can't manage to stay in their own (*(%&^$@%%(&^%^&$%@$%$*^&%()*)**(^&$@#$!@$%#@^&)*(&%$#$!@%@$!@#$#^*)^)&(^(%*%&#$#%$&(^$%^&$%@#^$%&(^%(&^%) lane! FedEx has opted out of the "get to Sacramento first" game replaced by SAIA and R&L, FedEx is now pacing WalMart at 57 until a truck doing 59-60 comes along side and the ()*%&&$%#!@$%*)(^&&%#)^&$$%@%*%) "lets see how many we can stack up before we back out of it" game begins!

Going up 50 to the house coming through Rancho Cordova, checked the temp on the dash .......it showed 68*...............WHAT SEASON IS THIS ANYWAY??????????:biggrin_25521:

Great music....but I'm old and still like to remember what my mother and I would sit in front of the speakers and sing the hours away! Back then...STEREO...was the "new" thing! You could sit between two speakers and feel like you were.....sitting between two speakers!!! You learned to ignore the scratches...HAH!!!:biggrin_2559:

US-97 thru Oregon is a mess right now mainly from Biggs to Bend. Trucks flipped over, cars in the ditch, and still snow/rain mix coming down. Good thing is they put down dump trucks worth of that red dirt they use. Take it slow thru there, lots of slick spots. Surprised it didn't get shutdown.

I like TSO also. However, a George Strait x-mas or Martina Mcbride fills in quite nicely. Kinda glad I'm hangin on the east side of the mountains for a while. Got the jewelry all ready to go, but so far haven't had to get dirty. Of course if the flipping weather keeps swingin so bad I'm liable to need it down south before we see spring again! Keep er tween the ditches drivers!

First Friday of the month is all day Sinatra on Siriusly Sinatra channel on XM, not uncommon to spend 2 or 3 hours listening to it.
