There should have to be an actual explanation for that phrase. I guess it's safe to run down a slick mountain then, but as soon as chain law is up, it's automatically unsafe?

lol. I use stabilicers for my shoes from 32North.com tell you what, it's funny to be out in the drop yard running around on ice while everyone else is falling, busting their tushes, flailing their arms trying to stop from falling. best $32 I ever spent. i keep a pair in the truck and a pair in the car. :)

I'd say we are having a pretty non eventful winter west of the big river this year. That other side Is having all the fun.

News this morning said the final "snow run off" measurement will be done today, and Governor Moonbeam Brown will be in attendance.....what they didn't say was that they were going to borrow a ruler from a truck driver to measure the depth!

What a joke! They are estimating it should be only 8% of what the "norm" should be....lowest since they started recording the data in 1950.

My brother bought me a pair last Fall. Didn't think I'd need them and they stayed in the original package (YakTrax). Couple months ago I was in DFW area when the ice storm hit and I was stuck at a company terminal for a day. Having the YakTrax made the difference between walking 100 yards securely and comfortably or risking a bad fall on the ice rink. I saw half a dozen drivers take some bruises and possibly worse on that inch thick ice.
