So it was you that stole the Bush weather machine and got I-10 shut down, border to border in New Mexico!

I have a set of chains and the only time I've ever used them was when trying to back under a heavy trl with a pile of snow and ice under it. I just threw the chains down on the ice and backed up , hooked up and almost forgot to pick them up!
Works pretty good.

I have chained up 3 times in the past 3 days, and I will have to chain up over Snoqualmie this afternoon if they'll ever open up I-90 west.
alds Thanks this. -
I Truck drive winnipeg to vancouver and on my way back going eastbound down #1 going through Hope Bc Taking the Canyon as #5 was Closed due to a Very bad blizzard!
So I was Shut down on the road for about 5 hours due to a Tractor trailer not being able to make it up the hill just ahead of me. he was hauling Pups and just couldn't make it up.
so i was Forced to Chain There for the Fist time since i left trucking school!
I also run Super Singles and #### they went on really Nice!! Took 5 mins and they were on and super Tight!
Guess it helps if the Chains are made for the tires!

I dont mind throwing Iron..But if its just a quick storm and the road crews are out hitting it ill sit it out for awhile...besides if ya run WY on I80 your gonna sit anyway cause they throw the Gates up and walmart then becomes a Truck stop battle between 4 wheelers and Rigs...Entertainment Value at it best

I chained up 5 times last week. Twice over Snoqualmie, twice over Cabbage, and once over whatever that pass on I82 in WA is. Practice made me quicker. I can chain the truck in 15 minutes flat now, which is a good thing, I guess.
otherhalftw and Working Class Patriot Thank this. -
If you have Michelin xdn 2 11 r 22.5 I highly recommend getting chains for 11 r 24.5's this is due to the width of the tires, my 22,5 chains barely fit on a worn set of rubber yesterday. First link only on the middle and inside, third link on the outside after doing 60 miles or so

been lucky so far this yr only chained once outta aspen back to denver and actually chain law was lifted but because i was empty and vail was still slick better safe than sorry. plus now its a $1000 fine if ya break traction in colorado and block a lane. other than that this week in oregon and washington was high and dry

Had to chain both drive axles five times two days ago.
Steer tires slid sideways from the crown in the road towards the ditch the first time.
