Don't they have any desalination plants? They're on the #### ocean, plenty of water there. Reminds me of the potato famine. Can't see the forest for the trees.

I do feel bad though, so I am going to help them out.

Statewide, Colorado is at 75% of average for the year. March is typically our snowiest month, they calling for rain/snow the next 3 days though, possibility of 6 to 8 in the hills.

    This winter, I chained once.

Wasn't expecting to be posting on this thread in May...but...snowing at Tahoe, no chain requirements, but snow level is at 5000'...Hwy 88 does have chains up and possibly 395 between Bridgeport and Mammoth will also be getting a good blast.

Sacramento and the foothills are getting more wind (30mph steady, gusting to 45) so we should be losing the power anytime now!

Time for a trip to Home Depot and Wood Crafters!:biggrin_2559:

I don't mind you posting here in May, but posting here in July kinda bugs me ..... unless it's education related .........

almost chained up Weds. EB Vail, they lifted it about 3 minutes before I got there, which was still about an hour too late. Snow level for Sunday is supposed to be as low as 6,500 to 7,000 ft. Latest snowfall on record is June 12th................yeeha

The list of what parts of Colorado don't have the chain law up last night and this morning, is shorter than the areas that do, but they are slowly starting to lift them. Have about 8" on the ground in N.E. Denver, friend that lives outside Central City has about 20".

There are also multiple areas of the state on the plains where roads are closed or washed out due to flooding.

Well now, this is unfair because a spell check wouldn't have caught this... and I'm only posting it because I want my 100th-post trophy, and I want it now:

    1. Occasional, light application of breaks during the course of the driving period.

That's a hard one to catch!! Great job on getting the info down.
