    I keep on hearing drivers talk to me about these "Autosocks". They're a great idea. But not practical in California and Oregon. These two states put chain law up at the drop of a single snowflake. You can't run them on dry roads. Hell simple wet roads can tear them apart. I'll stick with iron for chaining.

    with the exceptional few what I've noticed is the westerners to mid westerners do not believe tire chains are nothing more then a dirty word.

    they are a reality..

    however, if you're not comfortable with it by all means, its ok to wait it out
