CHAINING...are you ready?

Just came over Snoqualmie right before the sign went up. It was skookum. Chained over the blues on 84 this morning.

Broke a 3 railer. It's going to be a long, long winter. '

 

I-5 Oregon
Canyon Creek: Chains required on single drives
Sexton: Chains required on all vehicles 10,000 pounds+

Siskiyou: CHAINS REQUIRED ALL VEHICLES.

 

chains were up from sacramento to reno last week.

i got half way up donners before chaining, ground was dry, caltrans said i had 10 miles to go. i told him i'd do where it's not snowing and i can stay dry. by the time i was chained, there was 2 inches on the ground.

tis nice to have doppler on the phone.

 

US12 is beautiful in the summer.

 

I bet the TA in North Bend is just loads of fun right now.

 

My card just received 3 days ago. shows rear trailer axle ONLY.

None of the pics or any of the words say staggered is allowed.

 

They need to fix that hill. Blow it up or something

 

Amen. I've used 3 railers and they are a PITA to install without taking the time to drop your trailer, and never seem to get as snug as singles. I carry 8 singles if I'm going through Oregon, as you need 2 spares. Otherwise 6 singles.

 

I hate it when anything rubs on my skirt.
