I got my first taste of chaining already and it wasn't any fun

With this light snow, you should be fine with 4 singles no need to hang the 3 rail chains. You are in my neighborhood now

I was stuck on I-5 last night for almost 7 hours near Ankenny Hill south of Salem. The whole Portland area was paralyzed.
Finally got through and had to go around semi's who couldn't get traction. Left Woodburn this morning for WA.
My Volvo 670 with auto transmission and Michelin XDN2 super singles did just fine without chaining. Put the tranny in manual and ran in 10th gear at 800 to 900 rpms doing around 25 to 30.
Take it slow. Keep plenty of distance from vehicle in front, don't slam on brakes, don't quick steer or accelerate and for god sake, keep rolling!dca and otherhalftw Thank this. -
me? two singles on the rear drives and two on the trailer, caddy corner.
light snow? yes it is, however this was pretty darn slippery.
