CHAINING...are you ready?

    Up here we need to be ready to chain up anytime as the lease roads are not allways nice and dry and level.. Some areas the grades areright up there and on a new lease after a good rain you will need them to get into and out of location...

    What I did when I was with peben and was pulling the same trailer all the time was to get the mechanic to weld 2 of thodr big u shaped spring bolts to the side of the trailer and hung extras on the trailer. MAke sure to unclude a hole at the top to install a secureing devide (a big cotter pi or what ever) so ya dont get dinged at an inspecion. In my video you can see on the trailer what I had done

    pulled last years chains off this past Tuesday, put put 3 new sets on racks plus a spare single, hung my new bungies, boss put new drives, new brakes, new wipers on Friday, I'm ready for winter.

    almost time for you to hibernate ain't it?

    All the electronic sign boards on I-70 W. of Denver warn, Sept. 1st starts the chain season, CSP will be set up @ Vail beginning the 4th handing out copies of the chain requirement.

    Courtney here just took the chains out of the toolbox on my truck tossed them in the shop, needed to lose some weight to take this darn load, 800 lbs over with 1/2 full fuel tanks shippers are nuttier than squrrel ####.

    I never laughed my arse off so hard when it snowed (6 letter word for ya...) In El Paso a couple winters back.....People think Californians can't drive.....You ought to see those "El Pasoins" attempt to drive in snow......:biggrin_25523:
