Well now, I dont recall placing a name to the comment, looking back at it and indeed I did not, so who put Otter's name to it ????? Dont know about you guys but myself I use chains on ice, snow is not that much of an issue you can always pack down the snow, rather hard to pack down ice. A good set of lug tires, will get you there. If you are in snow so deep you can get around you shouldnt be there in the first place. But each to their own.

 

I'm kinda viewing it like this:
