The worst part is when you have to chain-up at Vail and the morons take up two freaking spaces....
Let's see....Swift pulled a well "Swift one" at Idaho Springs this year...They parked out in the lane and chained-up.....Leaving one lane open on the E/B side......Real geniuses...
It wouldn't have been too bad but, this happened at 8 pm.......A lot tired drivers with short fuses......All trying to get around Swift.....Not too bright on Swift's part..... -

I have seen my share of UPS and FEDEX "Single Props" on I-80 in WY, lose traction and become part of the landscape......Big Don Thanks this. -
Why carriers use low Hp engines and 9 or 10 speed trannies and expect them to work in the mountains is beyond me....
My old Pete had a Series 60 and a "Small 13"......Running up Vail was painful......Even the tortoises were out-pulling me.....otherhalftw and CenutryClass Thank this. -
striker Thanks this.

Why is it that you have steeper grades in CO and can run those grades between 65-70 and Cajon is 45 and the Grapevine is 35?....... -
