    The legal speed limit is proportional to the median IQ. Too many morons in California!

    IIRC big rigs are banned on Independence because of the switchbacks. Its closed during the winter because of the very heavy snowfall up there every year.

    FWIW, I tried to find on line info on grade percentages on both Conway and Dead Man. Couldn't come up with anything at all.

    bring it on, boss has a pallet of new chains on order, my new drives came in last week, he'll install them next oil change, roughly mid-Sept.

    Colo. just raised the limit on EB 70 for Genesse, it's now 45 mph for 26,001 +

    30' limit

    looks like 550 during the winter when they widened the narrow curve and bridge

    I think im ready lol new tires for both my trucks new chains I drive my peterbilt and a 15 yr driver has my kw I think this season is gonna be good to me.
