Well, we seldom get snow here, and when we do it is usually just a dusting. Cedar City, of course, takes it in the shorts with snow, but being as how we are at the bottom of the ridge we don't get so much here.

I have to say this though....UDOT is usually on top of the game during winter....I don't think I have had to toss the iron even through Fish Lake......

Got hung up on the pass between Richfield and I-15 about 0200 one morning years ago. Rig a few trucks in front of me jackknifed and totally blocked the WB lanes. I did have to chain up to get going again once they cleared the wreck. . .

That is one of the (main reason I think) reasons DHE went with Freightliner and the DD13 engine with the DEF capability. Had a Cummins in that "Pornstar" and it was constantly burning out EGR and turbo, wouldn't regen without being manually done with the laptop in the shop. 85k on this freightliner and not a single regen issue yet!

*spell check doesn't like our truckology!*

The SCR is an "After-Treatment" Otter....EGR's are still on the EPA '10 and newer engines IIRC....
