CHAINING...are you ready?

That was one good thing about running for Riverbend. I'd take off from St. George area about 1600/1700 Sunday afternoon. Very little traffic over the passes by the time I'd get there.

OTOH, I'd have to take off for California from St. George in the late afternoon, just in time to fight that sun until it set. Miserable during certain times of the year!

Yeah....Don't you love that Friday afternoon traffic from Vegas back to Cali?....All of those Nevadans headed to Cali....To get away from the Californians who are headed to Vegas.....

 

As soon as the ski areas are open you don't want to be headed eastbound on I70 on a Sunday afternoon in the Colorado mountains. Nosireebob!!! You're better off parking for the day!!!

 

Climbing Vail tonight SUCKED!!!!!......I shoulda stayed in Edwards!!!!!!

 

I missed seeing the Chain Control signs.....So by the time I got to that second turn above town it was getting nasty.....Two FBs became road-blocks.....And about 10 Vans and reefers the same....

I broke traction a few times....The last time was I had to stop for a 4-wheeler who just had to get in front of me.....So I had to start from a dead stop......Lost traction....Then dumped the axles and crawled out......

Yep.........Yep.....Winter is here.....
