Which part of the "applied incorrectly" are you referring? The hook into a cam unit, or the sequence of "legs" four or five on the top half and one single on the bottom?

In setting the spider in that fashion, there is unequal tension and will cause directional slippage...have fun with that chain collecting between the tires!

No iron involved...found the snow just north of Provo, light and irritating with the windshield....nice drive down to MP 128....sat for 26 minutes in the hammer lane and the line started moving....didn't look like much of an accident...4 wheeler crunched the front end of little sedan into the side of a 4-whell drive pickup...both in the median (north bound side)....I guess there was an issue at the summit of the next hill that had all traffic stopped....never found what it was, but driver here at Parowan said he sat for 45 minutes just before the crest.

Snowing decent and cold 24*...might as well take my 10+ and continue this journey in the morning...or after midnight sometime....only 5 left on my 70 with 4 coming back at midnight....don't deliver till Wednesday anyway......

Look out I-70...this is headed your way!!!

Applied incorrectly as in all of the above. Uneven tension on the chains, and the hook onto the cam is something that might cause it to decide to "uncam!"

Not all of the models are callin' for a "slam..." we shall see!

Good Luck. At least you aren't fighting the weekend traffic through Winter Park. (I actually thought about buying a place in Granby several years ago, but my wife sort of "came to my senses for me!":biggrin_25523:

Did you get that "chance of scattered snow showers?" We didn't either. Don't know where they came up with that one. . .

I got into "snowing" at Provo..nothing to think about until just north of the I-70 junction....then the flakes started flying......

Now is it just me...or....if the speed limit sign shows *80*....does that mean one MUST do *80*, even when visibility is less than 1/8 mile, and snow/water spray from vehicles reduces visibility even more....not to mention the ijits driving by the snow plow on the right.........for some reason they were seen to be screaming as they found that visibility was less than ZERO when they got into the spray from the blade!!!!:biggrin_2552:

"80" in Utah is a suggestion that 105 is appropriate.
