21 is all i've ever used. it's a toss up on the curls though. few vendors have them curled. most don't. (around here anyways) same price pretty much unless i go to a local trailer parts store that also sells parts for NON heavy duty trailers. for some reason, they are more expensive then the heavy duty trailer shops. but not quite as high as the truckstops.

I used to use exclusively 21's, but one day I went into a tarp shop to buy another box and they were out of stock, so I got 50 31's. What used to take me 50 bungees now takes me 20. Anything I need a shorter bungee for I've switched to broken pieces of shock cord with an S-hook in a figure 8 knot.

Chaining a load going to Wyoming one day, Cheater pipe slipped ( awkward oversize load ) I now wear a scar through my right eyebrow. Took me to the bone. Come to think of that might be what's wrong with me now...:)

About the only time that I use them anymore is hauling scrap metal bales. Seems to be the only way I can get them and keep them tight. Plus, I don't carry that many ratchet binders for the 5/16" chain but the trailer is equipped with the chains and snap binders. All I carry on the truck is 3/8 and 1/2".

US Cargo is good as well.

Do some research on products (Test/Try it out) Don't use Harbor Freight stuff like the straps in trucking. I don't believe they are load rated like real trucker straps. Some of their cheap 4" straps are not load rated for 5400lbs. Not to mention, their straps tear easily.

I guess you have to ask yourself, what kind of products you wish to purchase.. I don't do anything cheap when it comes to load securement.

Ancra Extreme straps or Vulcan. Must have a few in your collection when you have something that needs to be strapped but abrasion is an issue. (Protect the strap and the load as much as possible, then use one of these...

Remember, to avoid a load securemnt ticket, always use products that are rated equal to or above the DOT rating for the size of the products you are using.

That included 2", 4" straps, and chain. Min grade 70 chain should be used. "IMO"......
