I tried last week. Brand new DeWalt with an unruly spring. I was pretty stinking mad. Still need to address this. Didn’t get to grease a darn thing. 70A6965D-FDF3-4AB4-B486-D885AFDAE837.jpeg

I've mentioned this before but more than once I've come home after being awake for a few days and my Fiance has dropped my trailer and pulled the truck in the shop and changed the oil while I catch a few hours sleep
She seems to be alot neater about a oil change than me..
She just carries the bucket up a step ladder and has a 2x3 piece of plywood She sets the bucket on the brace rods for the radiator and pumps the oil in

Get yourself a quick drain for the oil pan. Then you can drain the oil directly into old 5 gallon pails. They're über easy to carry to your nearest auto parts store, recycling center or if you're really smart you'll burn it in an oil furnace for free heat.

Find or make a funnel that sits in the oil fill neck. Cut a small tab in the lid of a 5 gallon oil pail and dump it straight in. I can have the oil drained and refilled in minutes using these two methods. Doing it yourself is the only way IMO.

I think you unscrewed the wrong end of your grease gun.
That drain pan works great I use the same. Also a quick drain valve is so much easier and cleaner to use.
I just recently bought a battery powered bucket pump for 5 gallons pails, not cheap but very handy, especially for rears or transmission.

I don't trust anybody to hit all the grease zerks and I don't think greasing once per oil change is nearly enough. I grease front end weekly

I grease once a month, which is usually 4-5k.

running local I do oil every 10k and on the road I shoot for after 15k so it usually winds up being ~18 by the time I actually get it done, only time I pay someone to do it is of the truck is going in for something else and already there or it’s -20 out and there’s 6 other pieces blocking my way to the garage
