You'd dump 9 gallons of used oil in your fuel tanks? All at once? ?

    Anyone else seen this?

Now that I'm thinking about this I seen a guy do that at a truck stop. He replaced a bad injector after limping into the truck stop. Then changed the oil, and I thought I saw him dumping the old oil in his fuel tanks.

I've seen it, but not all at once. Old timer that taught at my truck driving school would pour a gallon every tankful. By the time he was out of oil it was time to change it again...

Say, how is that drain plug bung #### thingamahjig working for you?

I snugged it up as much as I'm comfortable with and it's leaking less. I need to power wash the engine, because the leak may be somewhere else and just dripping off the lowest point.

I like it and am looking forward to the first change. I'll swap to a full synthetic before winter. And let you know.

    double yellow Thanks this.

Not a bad idea. Once your old oil is gone your jugs are empty again for the next change.

Yup. My usual tank was removed and I'm too lazy to drag it up to my friends uncle's farm to burn in the heater. If they can burn it in the heater (yes, I'm sure the injector is different), I can burn it in my engine. Again, no regeneration system to worry about

That wouldn't be so bad, cept them jugs would have to be at home, and I rarely am.

I will say this much. I surely wouldn't dump 9 gallons of used oil on wore out/plugged fuel filters. Seeing all the trouble I've had trying to get my pump and hoses clean. Then again, they were only washing with water. Zero caustic, diesel, or soap of any kind. Diesel cuts anything.

Does the motor oil settle on top of the diesel? I need to pour some used oil on diesel and see what happens.
