Almost 2 1/2 years. Once a month dump a jug of diesel kleen, then next tank is oil. I wouldn't do it every week unless your running a old B model or big cam, those things will run on anything.

I'm scared. I will do back to back Howse meener kleener every once and a while, then regular Howes every other tank. The boost in mileage seems to pay for the additive, at least I think that to sleep at night.

I've tried all of them, diesel kleen is the only one I can tell any difference in how the truck runs. It says it has a lube in it,but to me it seems like it drys things out,one of the reasons for running the oil.

When you leave howes out in the cold it thickens. Go figure.

I would not add synthetic oil to diesel -- most synthetics do not burn as cleanly as conventional oil (they make special low-ash synthetics for oil burning engines like 2 strokes & rotaries).

I use good old Rotella T and Baldwin filters. Side note, I've just recently started using cat filters to see if there was a difference. None detected

I just love seeing truckers trying to change oil in truckstops. Worse than ones who leave piss bottles.

Performing basic maintenance in a TS parking lot is worse then leaving piss jugs? Really?
