I’ve always been honest in answering questions about working at Tyson, and until now, they’ve been fantastic. In the interest of maintaining that honesty, I need to update things with some unfortunate changes.

We’ve taken on some new administrative personnel, from wal mart, I’m told. The micro management is increasing daily. Dispatch has gone from a supportive partnership to an adversarial and authoritative relationship. Drivers are now subject to a score keeping system to rate performance.

We still don’t have inward facing cameras, but the Samsara systems we run now records and report everything to the smallest detail. All subject to disciplinary action, of course.

Nights and split breaks are now the rule, rather than the exception. Miles and pay have fallen off significantly due to extended waits for loads. Bonuses are under constant threat.

Im a 20 year accident free driver (3 at Tyson) with a 100 percent on time customer service record. I’m tiptoeing around waiting for someone to slap my hand for any little thing. I planned to park the truck and walk away after this load, but I’m going to give them until January in hopes they right the ship.

There it is, for transparency”s sake. If you were planning to hire on here, I’d give it some time and see what happens. Tyson has made mistakes before, and rectified them. I’ll hope they do it again.

I’ve always liked your posts, and have appreciated your honesty. Sad to hear things are spiraling downward. Hopefully as you stated, they can right the ship. As soon as you said “they hired some uppity ups” (paraphrasing in my words obviously) I knew the next sentence wasn’t going to be great. And there it was. “Point based score keeping system”. Get real. Again, good luck. With 20 years under your belt I’m sure this isn’t what you had envisioned when you first started driving. I know it wasn’t when I did. Keep us posted!

My biggest complaint about Tyson, is their products, and them throwing themselves in with the NWO, WHO, etc.

I knew how the rest of that would read as soon as I got to the word “Walmart”.

Well, it’s not looking favorable to me, so I’m considering making a change. I d like to have something similar to what I used to have here, but it’s a tall order. Let’s see what you can come up with.

I run MO, AR, KS and OK. I don’t mind expanding that some, but my east coast is the West Bank of the Mississippi. I didn’t lose anything in DFW, either.

Home weekends for a 34. Prefer in on Friday, out on Sunday morning.

Im based in Central MO, moving to Branson in the next 6-8 months.

Need to see 90 to 100 grand with the usual benefits. Ticket and accident free to 1990, but only verifiable to 2014.

No hazmat or TWIC, but willing to get both. No endorsements at this time, but can easily add whatever.

currently pulling reefer, but have experience with food grade tanker, RGN, tilt top and end dump.

Have run my own numbers, and would consider a lease(not purchase) for the right deal.

I know it’s a tough match. Let’s hear your ideas!
