    Dfo is correct in our class Oct 12,15 they talked about IC's that were unplugging...and some were showing up 1000 miles away...Schneider knows the BS going on....whos doing it etc....I just wish the feds would force every driver to use elogs...theres even apps...it would atleast level the playing field and I think increase rates...

    I am a company driver...

    But don't think for a moment that I won't be doing this.

    I have no intentions of putting another driver out though to prove a point. But shippers and SNI...different story.

    I won't block fuel islands or entrances or exits though.

    We've got a few places where we go who refuse to allow us to park but take their sweet time. They'll either be calling the police/tow truck or SNI after hour 2.

    While I hate to open this thread up to this debate as elogs vs paper is an absolute thread crasher...

    I don't feel that forced elogs is the answer. I don't know of a better answer, but I don't feel like electronic logs is the answer.

    The only reason the Feds like elogs is because it's more difficult to hide creativity. Not impossible, but more difficult.

    I once got held up at a shipper and was going to go over my 14 by 5-10 minutes to get somewhere to park. Called into my dbl to let them know. DBL told me she was going to have to call the police to get a police escort to the truck stop... Only way they would let me go. I ended finding a small dirt pull out beside the property that the shipper let me park in.

    I've noticed that the only reason most drivers who don't like elogs don't like them is because it's nearly impossible for them to run illegally with them.

    @dtcscout
    Yep. That's got a strong note of truth to it.
