Any other trainer being told that our fearless leader wont pay for a hotel for students when you go home?

First it was "I will pay for 3 days not nothing more" now mike wont pay for one at all. So when I go home I lose the student.

Have we become so desperate to put drivers in all the vacant seats that Millis is willing to sacrifice quailty training over putting ##### in seats?

Never been a problem go out 4 weeks put them in a room for 4 nights. I treat my students how I want to be treated. Guess millis is more about the money lately. Most students I get are out of cartersville so for me to drop them off so they can go home by the time I get back it is 8-9 days later. I understand most students cant afford no income f9r that long.
Hopefully our training will send something out. Curious to see if a select few are being singled out.

I am going to be a student starting this week. I was wondering how it worked if the trainer went home. I understand I am being trained and the company is paying me while training, so the company isn't really making money on me until I am out on my own. I think it would be weird for me and the trainer if I was left alone in the truck sitting for a few days, that is his home. I would be fine being put in a hotel, but I don't feel the trainer should have to pay for it. I would be okay with it if Millis paid for it and then I had to pay it back weekly just like the schooling. I am grateful that a company is training me to get my CDL and then offering me a good job. I can't afford to go to school for $6000 and take 2 months off work, so I am glad there is a way I can get through the process while getting paid. I am looking at it as an investment in myself. How was it handled before?

Mostlikely he or she will drop you off at your house. Then pick you up when the trainer comes out. That could be up to a week or more. But lately they have been putting you with another trainer to finish it up.

For the longest time I was able to use Hotels when needed. Wasnt very often since I usually stayed out until the student graduated. But of late, things have changed. I have taken several students from trainers that were going home and needed to be finished. It's confusing anymore on how/why these changes are taking place, Only thing I can assume is that they do not want the students sitting idle during trainers home time. I can understand that, but it's hard on a student as it is, now they have to learn a new trainer all over again. I really think can be additional stress for a new driver.

Yeah I hear that. Students get use to how one teaches then has to learn allover again. Wish they would explain it to us.

I wonder if it's because we have a limited number of trainers, and more students graduating every week, so they want to maximize the number of hours students are with a trainer, regardless of whether it's the same one throughout their training.

Unsure cant get a straight answer from brf. Think it is more about getting the student into a truck cause of all the vacant ones sitting at yards. But I refuse to let a student go if they are not ready. Dont care if it 20000 miles.

But dont forget a driver can train after only having 8 months exp now. Scary
