Just do it!!!! If it's wrong, someone will let you know. It's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.
Haha, wow. Just goes to show nobody really knows how to interpret this law. Good luck to any officer that writes a violation and expects it to hold up in court.
So if I deliver 30 miles south of my home, use PC to go home and take a 10 or 34, then go to my next dispatch which is 30 miles north of my home, you think that's wrong? I think it's ok, because I took a break after the PC which took me home. I don't think I can use PC to go from home to the next load though.
I use PC or line 5 all the time to go home. I was told as long as a 10 hr break is taken before I advance towards my next load it's allowed. And SNI regulatory told me that.
Exactly. I used to do this all the time. PC to get home, but after my break I used line 3. Technically, I could have used PC to go to the trailer if it was at the same place where I dropped it, but I always erred on the side of caution and used line 3 when I returned to work.
Yea but he's going north to his house, which is also towards the new load on PC. Am I missing something? The ten is taken after he gets home right? Now if his new load was any direction other than towards his house, then I think he's good to go.
