Changing from a slider to a fixed 5th wheel

    I don't understand what advantage you get with a fixed as opposed to a slider. We got slider on all our trucks and they're almost always taking max payload. Its nice to have the slider option especially if u aren't always pulling the same trailer. Diff pin settings, o/d loads where u can have an overhang on the front. I also wouldn't wanna change to a fixed just because I am using the same trailer and hauling the same thing everyday. With todays economy u never know what ur gonna be doing the next day. 1 day u own and run a box and the next day u gotta get rid of it and get a dump instead so u always have that flexibility with the slider. I'd never count on a steady account today!
