I need advice on what to do. I have an excavation company with local dump trucks and several over 10000 lb trucks. I have trip I make out of state to pick up materials for a mulch yard we have. I have been buying a permit and buying fuel each time but am wanting to get ifta stickers and go interstate. Only two states will be traveled on a regular basis. Am I best to change my current number to interstate or start with a new number. I am only going to send 1 or 2 trucks out on regular basis. I know I need to keep up with all the records on all trucks regardless. Any ideas will be appreciated. thanks

I think you can go to the local dmv and tell them what you are doing and they will add them states to your tags but if you are running quarterly tags then you will have to get apportioned tags for trucks. At least I think that is what a friend of mine had to do but this is Va. and it could be different in AL. Hope this helped at least a little bit.
