In my experience...............clown shoes SUCK in the snow!
Thankfully my company decided they weren't a good idea and went back to duals on the tractors.

I ran a LPG tanker and company tractor with super singles for 4 winters, never had any problems. Granted I only averaged 250 - 300 miles per day and the company only used virgin Michelins. Like others have said they do suck in snow and ice, almost got stuck on more than 1 hill that I know a tractor with duels would have walked right up.

I don't run recaps either. I have a friend that runs super singles on his truck and trailer. When he ordered his trailer, he got an extra large air tank on it. He carries an air impact, a long air hose, and a super single mounted on a rim. He has had to change a rim and tire on the side of the road on several occasions, and has tmps as well.

2300 for one tire is how do u say, 'unsustainable'. but blowing a super single is like always blowing two tires at once, plus blowing up anything within 4 feet of it. I'm surprised they haven't tried those airless tires for trailers yet

Company I'm at pulls pneumatic so, a weight sensitive application. Been running the SS on both truck and trailer but, they use the more aggressive lug tread.
