Rule #1 Dont BELIEVE everything you READ!! Believe none of what you HEAR & HALF OF WHAT YOU SEE!

I kno some guys leased on it cost them around $1.03-1.15 pm to run,Once again you cant take EVERY OWNER OP,in AMERICA and throw them into the SAME BUCKET,some guys need $2.00-2.50 pm to operate it just DEPENDS ON THERE SITUATION and there cost involved! BREAKDOWNS,

some have more part issues than others, others have more electrical issues than some, the average mile per gallon matters alot, some guys get 5 some get 7-9mpg,ive passed up deals leasing on simply because this one company pays fsc based on her FLEET average, some have new trucks and average 8-9 mpg if i average 6-7 im loosing money,

Some get discount on fuel more than others, others may not that run for small mom and pop operations, cash off at the pump,i see truckstops running deals if you pay with cash or credit deals you get more off,

some guys equipment is paid for others lease trucks and trailers, some run van, some run flat, reefer,OD,OS,LTL,Fuel,Hazmat,Frac,Dirt,Trash,Scrap iron,Auto haulers, dedicated,Regional,Local, some are leased some have they own authority, some people dont even calculate by mileage ,one guy just tries to make $500-600 a day is his goal and he haul containers and home everynight, so you see how all these factors matter and make a BIG DIFFERENCE,

To each there own, just take what you hear and see with a grain of salt and youll be fine lol

Mane, back in the day when bread, meat, eggs was cheap as h*** drivers still got paid 26 cents a mile. Go look at what some of these megas start rookies off at. That's an invalid point.

And the only thing "common folks" blame truck drivers for is accidents and holding them up. The last thing to come out their mind is trucking companies is to blame.

But to each it's own dude...

I think it is funny people trying to blame inflation on truck drivers. Constant inflation has been a fact of life since 1913 when the privately held federal reserve was created. The taxpayer is on the hook for interest when they loan money to the government. The government does not have or create money, the fed does that. What a great racket if you can get in on it! So we are a debt based society that pays for everything with a fiat currency that is essentially in and of itself a worthless pice of paper. It is not backed up by any precious metal and only has value because we think it does. The dollar has lost 90% of it's purchasing power since 1913. They print it like it's going out of style and the government continues to go deeper in debt. That is why prices rise. Not supply and demand cycles of transportation.

I may go broke but I will never go broke making some else rich by hauling cheap freight at a loss or a very small profit .
My time and trouble cost money .
If I am going to ##### myself out I refuse to be a cheap ##### !!!

I have no problem putting my knees in the breeze and running on down the road .
I would rather go to the good freight well rested than to get there angry and tired because I screwed my self trying to save a trip empty .
I will never do something just because the other guy does it this way I am not Swift I will never be Swift so I sure don't run my truck like Swift !!!

I bought my truck to keep from doing the stupid stuff that companies make their drivers do .

We all run our lives and trucks the way that works for us .
As long as you do what makes you happy then its all good in the hood peace out ......LOL
Like Forest says that's all I got to say about that !!!

you act like you can just walk in and get "good" freight you have to know where to find it you have to talk to the right people

you can't just walk in and say "I'll do it for more than what you're offering" they'll ask you to leave

freight is, and always will be, a "race to the bottom"

if jeff offers $1.80 to haul it, Joe offers $1.70 and Swift offers $1.50 guess who's getting it
