I had a broker lectures me today on why I should accept their rate. He told me I was quoting him a $150 higher on the load than I did on Friday when I called and just what was the justification for that? As if I am in the third grade and he was the teacher or something. Condescending like that. I didn't even recall the conversation from Friday, obviously he was still mad at that quote, but I told him he should have covered it on me then because my phone is MUCH busier today. That's my justification it's called high demand. He was whining and crying like a big baby about the unfairness of it all.
I want to ask you drivers and brokers how many of you whine to a complete stranger about losing money as if that stranger really cares? I mean this guy probably makes bank on that load 9 time out of 10 and even if he's just skirting by on the razor's edge that's supposed to touch my heart? And of course its perfectly OK for me to take what he's offering like "everyone normally does" and lose money on my end, oh yeah, that's perfectly fine... Then he asks what are you going to do just sit there with your truck posted? Yeah you have a problem with that? click What a waste...Mike2633, mrbamcclain, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this. -
I hate idiots who waste my time with their ridiculous loads. I like working with people that know wtf they are doing and have good freight. Theres a few brokers out there like that. But most of them don't know #### about freight/trucking and are just in it for the money.

Mike2633, ramblingman, freightwipper and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yeah I mean if they want to lose time arguing with me over nothing I'll humor them if I'm not busy. Wth ever, I mean I'm not the one urgently needing to hustle a truck from somewhere anyway lol.
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
I HATE Brokers...... And That includes you for that stunt you pulled with that uneducated Driverpigeon river trucking, G13Tomcat and noluck Thank this. -
I loaded in Ontario, CA area the other day. I was 20 miles down the road when the broker called me, "they forgot to add a pallet on that load...."
"Too bad, I'm already gone and I'm not going to turn around..."
"Okay, I'll let the shipper know."
5 minutes later the phone rings, "Scooter, how much will it cost to have you go back and get that other pallet?
"$500."
Needless to say he never called me back -
You do realize that your practice is part of the problem. If you would post a rate thats actually fair, youd attract GOOD carriers that do you a good job that in the end, your going to benefit from.
Also, if you dishonest brokers that KNOW your taking advantage of someone thats retarded, dont give them a chance to haul it cheap as hell. Then it wouldnt give them a chance to drive the rates down in first place.Last edited: Nov 22, 2016
