Yea they are out of alignment, I've tried spraying WD40 on them, beating on them with a sledge hammer and #### near tearing the lever off with one of those pulling bars. But if they are stuck they just refuse to budge no matter what you do to them. If theres a helpful fellow driver around thats willing to assist me by pulling on the lever while I rock the trailer or I find level ground I can pull them out with one finger. Once they release the trailer slides with ease.
I actually searched around yesterday and found this tool "sta-rat" which applies constant pulling pressure on the lever while you rock the trailer. I'll get one of those and give that a try.

another driver reminded me today of keeping the landing gear slightly off the ground before dropping the trailer. This makes it much easier for the next guy when he goes to hook up to it. I typically lower the gear all the way down and then pull it back up a turn or two before dropping.
