What were their names before. A lady called me from them a few days ago about doing a load. She said that I was already set up with them, but I've never hauled for them under the UTI name.

I understand Supply and Demand....that's why I run 70 in the winter...Most drivers are afraid to throw iron...I'm not...Hence...The loads should pay more because the same amount on the ground last week and the week before are the same amount this week...

To the best of my knowledge....There hasn't been a sudden rush of truckers who desire to run the 70 Lane.....

Oh I agree with you. But if you currently did a load densities search via a load board you'd see what I'm talking about. For instance, I just did a density search for Colorado on ITS and here's what I came up with:

    Colorado

    Flatbed:
Number of Loads Dropping Off: 684
Number of Loads Picking Up: 352
Difference: 332 more trucks than loads

    Van:
Number of Loads Dropping Off: 378
Number of Loads Picking Up: 269
Difference: 109 more trucks than loads

    Reefer:
Number of Loads Dropping Off: 262
Number of Loads Picking Up: 117
Difference: 145 more trucks than loads

    Specialized:
Number of Loads Dropping Off: 28
Number of Loads Picking Up: 21
Difference: 7 more trucks than loads

I'm not sure on the time frame of these figures, but I'm assuming for the week. That said, it's a shipper's/broker's market currently. You aren't going to see decent rates when there's over 300 more flatbeds available then there are loads to ship. It's crap...but it's how capitalism works. Hope this explains what I was saying a little bit better.

Typically my loads to Denver pay good....That is $2/M+....The loads out usually pay under the $2/M range.....

    I'm all about the "average"....
Sometimes I'll have to do a "Three-Pointer" to make my weekly goal...

I guess I have been "spoiled" in the last few months....Most of my runs were out and back....:biggrin_25525:
