That's a name I haven't heard in a while. They gave us our 3rd load ever. Over $2 if I recall. They were desperate to load and I was on my smooth talking game to get the exception on their one month with authority policy. Nice to work with.

Yeah...I have called on their loads from OR to CA before....Mainly containers....Could never get them to go above $1000 to run from Portland to Long Beach....So I stopped calling them.....

Now to be fair about CHR, UTI, and TQL....I can get anywhere from $2.25 up to $2.75/M from them on LA to Denver-Denver to LA loads....

Hell...I sometimes haul Cell towers from Tucson to So-Cal for about $1500 from UTI....Not bad eh?

Ok....Now sometimes brokers post a great rate under some wacky condition's.
I was just looking over one of my load boards and this company has a load from LA metro to ABQ...Pays COD....Loads tomorrow afternoon between 1530 and 1645 and has to be in ABQ by 0800 MST....That has to be a team load.....But it was posted under solos.....

    Hey Ron,

Is there a steady Denver - LA LA - Denver step deck freight base? can one run this weekly? I am getting back in after selling my small telco company.

I am also looking at running as a 6 axle setup pulling RGN but have never run this type a freight before. Ran for 6 years based out of california and oregon in the 1990's. Still have active authority.

Looking for a info from someone who clearly has been running this market for a while.

    Ron

Usually there's a bunch of LA Metro area loads to Denver metro...The rates back can be a little lower....You just have to time them....
For some reason...Most of the Cali outbounds this week are few and far between....I feel like I'm in FL and having to DH to GA.....:biggrin_2552:
I might have to DH to PHX to get anything N/B or E/B....:biggrin_2551:

If you were buying equipment again, would you buy 53' step (I would assume there would be 40' container traffic) or 48' flat? understanding that the north coast would be off limits with the 53'

I am going with 2008 tractor under 245" to run Canada and/or the ports
