The day they receive an attorney's letter is the day he will start being paid 100% of $0. This is the real world and in this world they will starve him till he quits. I am sure somewhere in the lease contract there is a stipulation that they do not have to show you anything. If you don't trust the man you haul for then it's time to move on. I don't understand drivers putting up with this crap and then want to waste their time giving money to the crooked lawyers. It is one thing losing money on loads but to then turn around and give the money you have to the low life legal system lawyers doesn't make sense. Yes, yes, it would be great to take the high road with a perfect court system but this ain't trucker wonderland and these companies have better lawyers than you can afford. Call the OOIDA and see what they think, maybe they already have a file open. Good Luck.

This company is crooked. I want to bring them to the court cuz they have been doing this for a long time no one does anything about it. Just say the reefer load from Ca to Fl pay 7500 and the guy says pay them only 6500 and then take out another 9% out of that load again . If you don't take it they let your truck sit so you don't make no money. Drivers have no choice but take it. And back haul is the same thing. Drivers got stuck they because the trucks are old 2006 under. They can't put no where......I feel sad for them

I think what OP is saying is they might be lying to him about what the load pays and skimming off the top.

I'm curious what TRUST has to do with a legally binding contract? It seems to me, it is that very attitude of trust that necessitates injecting a lawyer into the relationship.

Trucking, Trust, Honesty. 3 words that do not belong together. I suspect that the OP is like 99% of drivers that sign a lease . . . . they don't read it or don't have a legal authority read it before signing! Most drivers don't have degrees or a high level of education, just an observation and not an insult. Most have no experience in setting up companies or dealing with legal contracts. When a CEO of a fortune 500 company has a document put in front of him that dictates how he does business he has his legal team go word by word through so he understands it. It blows me away that drivers won't spend $200 to do the same. Or join OOIDA for a few bucks and have them do it because believing that the trucking company or broker has your back is naive beyond words.

    Just saying here,
May I suggest you contact OOIDA.
They took LS to task and LS opted to call it off with out admitting guilt and but it was noticed . OOIDA keeps a file on carriers that get complaints. There is a term many over look. It is called Truth In Leasing. If in your contract ( lease) it says you can have the info on your loads and they don't give it to you it is a bozo no no on their part. Got get them. But Contact OOIDA and they can give you some sound advice so you don't cut your throat for peanuts if you get anything.
