Our test is full of them type of questions . Seems they could find some that would actually help you know something about driving . you would think they would consult actual truck drivers when making decisions about what to put in and leave out . But that would make sense and I think there is a federal law against making policy decisions based on common sense .

wait until you get to read the cargo securement regulations..all you can say when you read it is huh? Written by some college educated idiot working for the government...example you have a 5000 safe working load chain..if it goes from one side to other of trailer..its 5000..if you hook one end on one side..go to load and hook the other end on the same side..its only 2500..and if its not done right..well I call it revenue enhancement...and lots of points added to CSA.

Test is easy enough, You could probably pass it reading it right before going in and pass it.

The only science that's behind this is making money for some municipality
Then to add things worse..well I'll give you an example..I have a 50,000 lb piece of steel..for proper secure ment..I would need 5 5000 ratedchain going from left to right side of load.huh? Well they say that you divide the weight of the load in half..huh???but if you were able to tie onto let's say a ring welded onto the piece..where you went from the side of the trailer to that ring..and secured that..your only allowed 2500 so you would now need 10 chains...example a bulldozer..running a chain across both tracks. Or hooking to both sides of the tracks.one going only to left track..one only going to right track..2 chains. Will do the same rating as the one..huh???so you have two more 5000 rated chain that they tell you now is 2500 rated compared to only one rated 5000 doing the same job..confused? It was so bad when they came out that the highway patrol were confused...that got interesting...just like if you have a brand new legally made flat strap..if that tag is missing..that strap is derated...

If yoiu passed the test to drive a car or motorcycle..you can pass all of the CDL with just reading the book a few times.. Just take your time..read the whole question..and what they want..example law states maxis apply at 35 lbs..question when do maxis apply A) 45-50. B) 25-45 C) 15-25..Answer is B. Don't let the test screw you up by reading to much into the questions..remember most is the closest right answer..

Yeah I know, I already have my permit. I was just saying you don't need a cheat sheet, the test is easy enough as is. You can just glance it over and pass.
