Update : I replaced gas pressure sensor and 2 days after that my check engine light was off and It stays off since then . It was two weeks ago and over 4000 miles so far so I finally fixed my problem with code 1144. I think that sensor was my problem and I didn't have to replace engine and injector harness .
Check engine light on

I’m having the same issue with mine (2018 579 Pete) in my case it says that’s injector 4, which by the way I already replace and still shows same issue.i have an OTR scanner and that’s what I’m getting.

replace exhaust gas pressure sensor #4928594 with genuine Cummins sensor from dealership like I stated in earlier post
Fieldrat, Star Rider and Goodysnap Thank this. -
Will do. Thank you much! -
While preemptive replacement of the exhaust gas pressure sensor isn't a bad idea (I've seen a lot of trouble out of them over the years), dont expect that to be the magic fix all.
@Goodysnap is right(as usual), if you have already swapped the injectors and the hole didn't follow, checking the engine harness including pin drag and load testing the circuit is the way to go if you still have trouble. I would also check the 3 wire circuit to the exhaust gas pressure sensor and the fuel rail pressure sensor (4 wire circuit). Also, drain line restriction needs verified.
However, there is a known issue with X15 injectors. The rate of melted down DPFs related to overfueling are astronomical. Cummins Inc is claiming the tips are eroding enough over repeated high pressure cycles that its causing dribbling in the cyl. Cummins is actually wanting customers to ship their injectors to a specific facility after removal to be re tipped. (causing excessive down time vs inj replacement, which is kind of BS in my opinion.)
Finally, if this is a Paccar application, check you are not getting any dirt intrusion in the intake piping. that's a massive problem right now for X15s and paccar both. the rings are harder(and more brittle) than the 2350 ISX and are having a lot of early dirt out issues compared to previous generations. yes, I have seen this cause misfire codes. The FLD SD series was also having similar intake piping issues. We were applying silicone under the rubber intake boots between the plastic pipes to try to combat this. Of course, both OEMs were denying it was their problem come warranty time.
Good luck.Last edited: Sep 7, 2024
