Do ya'll know of a way other than taking your truck to the dealer or a mechanics shop to find out what your check engine light is for?
I have the OTR diagnostics deal but it will only tell me what fault codes are there not check engine lights, at least that I know of.
I have a 2016 Cascadia with the dd15 and it has the dash deal that will show you I guess fault codes too but right now when I pull it up on the dash it says 0 fault codes even though my check engine light is on.
I took it to the loves and had them hook up their laptop but it was for some def issues I was having but they weren't able to pull up anything on the emissions for some reason but they did say there was something about an oil level sensor which was odd because I've never heard of an oil level sensor. Oil pressure sensor but not oil level. Called the dealership up and the parts guy said the same thing, didn't know what they were talking about.
But anyways looking back I'm thinking that was what the check engine light was for. Thinking it may of been the oil pressure sensor they were actually looking at even though the pressure gauge on the dash seems to work fine.
Would be nice to have some kind of device that can pull check engine codes. Plenty that pull fault codes but none that I've found that do check engine lights except of course the dealer software.
I hate having to take my truck anywhere to have it sit to be worked on at some point because the manufacturer has made it to where we have to #### it.
