    Even with a flashlight I can’t see crap under the trailer looking up into the jaws ......

    I always look under there tho..also look to make sure handle is all the way back in and no gap between the fifth wheel plate and the trailer....

    Then a tug test and off I go.

    Or you can clean it and spray paint with hivis paint. I did that because yeah I'm old.

    I noticed mine this morning (12° below) that the bolt in front hadn't gone all the way in. As much as I didn't want to, I dollied back down and rehooked.

    Putting it in reverse and giving it a little throttle will usually push the bolt in all the way.

    Since I refuse to use low gear?, not fun at all...lol
