I've sold plenty of Equipment both trucks and trailers that don't match my DL and some i haven't even registered you, shouldn't simply walk away because the person doesn't have it in their name, if they have a signed title then its theirs yes ask questions to why it isn't registered and stuff , the best thing to do when buying a vehicle is do a fine tooth comb inspection, crawl under anything you buy, check wheel seals, brakes ,frame from front to rear. Ask questions and if you ask a question thats too much for the owner to answer then don't assume they are trying to hide something. for instance I've bought trucks and equpiment from people that sat behind a desk, i ask them how are the rings? does it burn oil? has the Head been worked on?. Ive ordered the RigDig before and that was very helpful, its worth the money
