    Well, figure might as well learn what's out there this is to the truck rates I'm getting (in some cases I don't know the exact FSC, my carrier does not break it down in the settlement, they simply add up the weeks FSC):

    Elwood, IL - Rockford, IL - Elwood, IL= $300 + $85 FSC

    Elwood, IL - Madison, WI - Elwood, IL = $379 + $90 FSC

    Elwood, IL - Terre Haute, IN - Elwood, IL = $452.20 + FSC

    Elwood, IL - Appleton, Wi - Elwood, IL = $544.60 + FSC

    Elwood, IL - Ligonier, IN - Elwood, IL = $349.30 + $180 FSC (for some reason)

    Joliet, Il - Oak Creek, WI - Joliet, IL = $297.50 + FSC

    Chicagoland O/O what do ya think? Am I getting ripped off or are those good? Post some of your own....I'm clearing after fuel about $2500-$2600 a week....but I've been told it's the slow season.

    Honestly, those are not just bad, they are scary bad. But containers have always been bottom of the barrel pay so not very surprising.

    Holy hell.... RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please man. those rates are not good, they are effing terrible man. but im not shocked either, alot of intermodal companies are like this. you got to find the right one that you can settle down with and feel comfortable. i've tried my fairshare of intermodal companies, im finally happy with this one and it's been almost one year, no complaints but anyways....

    Here's some of the rates my company pays me, we go to elwood alot but i cant be arsed to go back on my settlements haha..:
    P.S. - all those you did are from elwood, anything that we do out of elwood, add about $150 to that rate.

    BNSF -> APPLETON, WI -> BNSF
    $603 + $180 FSC + $60 TOLLS

    NS79TH -> MADISON, WI -> CONGLOBAL
    $502 + $220 FSC + $50 CHASSIS SPLIT

    CN HARVEY -> ROCKFORD,IL -> CN HARVEY
    $315 + $51.30 FSC + $75 TRIAXLE

    CSXBEDFORD -> OAK CREEK, WI -> CONGLOBAL
    $385.25 + $103.50 FSC + $40 TOLLS

    I clear about $3,500 - $4,500 after diesel. My company also has it's own fuel tanker in the yard so it's such a convenience.. aswell. Not slow here. Work is on &@#*&*# FIRE!!!! I love it here. Good group of folks, family environment. Has about 60 drivers, half of them are o/o. Sky's the limit here, you make as much as you want. Each to their own I guess, but WORKS FOR ME. the company i work for believes in being fair and knows that we dont work for free so we are being paid top dollar and from what i know and talking to other truckers, i'm #### content with my job minus the headache and rails...

    The only way you are doing 2500 after fuel on those rates is by either getting 30 mpg or running your ### ragged 90 plus hours a week.

    I just sit and wait for a good load. Now if I didn't live here I wouldn't come down unless it paid good enough to bounce to Birmingham. Basically the same way I look at those western loads. I only go if it pays good enough to bounce back to a good freight area.

    It's hard work, I admit, but not as bad as OTR Flatbed!!!, I run legal logs and work about 10-12 hours a day 5 days a week total....
