I couldn't tell you the best, I know JB Hunt is a favorite for crosstown work, wait and see what JJKid has to say.....Our company does crosstown work, but I don't know if they would run you exclusively on crosstowns (though I know of one guy who only does them)...they pay $100 per run.....

    HalpinUout and jpgale22 Thank this.

C&k pacella Cushing jb hunt eagle and depending on company 40 to 200 some companies pay more for the same move but I'm sure everybody is on a hiring freeze cuz the work is slow as hell if you want to make your money best to run rails at night

Yes that's what I wanna do run the rails at night and I've been to c&K and they say they have 24 hour dispatch and unlimited work so I think that might be my best move

lies!! my buddy works at C&K... they're as slow as everyone else. unless you got SENIORITY there.. you aint nothing jack! He's worked mon, tue half day, off wensday.. off thursday, no dispatch for him as of 9:10 PM... today.

honestly, i'd say jb hunt is the best for crosstowns. but last i heard, they stopped hiring man. everyone's stopped hiring.. even the company me & @RERM work for. they're only taking company drivers at the moment, they stopped hiring o/o's for the time being. idk ,they're weird lol.. but i guess its working for them... they hire like 5-10 in 3 months then stop for like 6 months then hire another batch...

as far as crosstown at my co. ... they pay $130 per move for owner ops. they have 2 dedicated cats on crosstown and they have been with the co. for 6 years.

I'd also say JB hunt or Kiswani also. I would of said Schneider, but as of May, they will no longer have an IC x-town board. All IC's will either be classified as local or regional.
C&K is hit or miss, same with Pacella.

$130 for a x-town? That's got to be a special load. I get over that, but I only get 1 or 2 x-town's a week and it's an ISO tank on our own spread axle. I'd totally go back to x-town work for those rates.

    JJKid Thanks this.
