Still would have made no difference in this situation.

 

Owner probably got back to Croatia before they were home in Florida

 

It would have given some legal recourse to recover the losses in payment.

The real problem is with the drivers themselves, they think it is a great thing to get a job like this but become indentured servants.

 

Yup a quick search on craigslist could've had them a job the next day. But it's stories like these that give Chicagoland companies a bad rap. Sounds like these 2 were just trying to cheat the system

 

Is Craigslist legitimate?
Seems full of scammers.

We have our local unemployment board. And our local news station has their own site for listing just about anything.

Other states don't have that?

I mean the jobs our legitimate, yes craigslist is legitimate. But typically it's companies you normally don't want to work for. I've also seen a few companies like ruan etc list jobs on there . It's another internet tool just research the company before you go. But I've found work of it in the past
