    You'll lose money in the long because each carrier will take from you during your tenure as well as upon your exit.

    There's tons of seasonal jobs local out there. There's also temp companies for drivers.

    Doesn't matter if your previous work experience is w2 or 1099 because they're both verifiable in the end (if the previous employer responds to requests.)

    We just came back from visiting Chicago and really enjoyed the scene in the northwest Suburbs particularly Arlington Heights.

    That’s encouraging. What kind of material must be hauled in order to earn 2k weekly local? I’ assuming that’s net? Also, is that a standard 8 hr Mon-Fri schedule for your buddies?

    Almost a 100% that's gross. I did that working 65 hours a week. Trucking in Chicago is kind of brutal.
