Going to be hard to get a job OTR as its not always possible to have Sunday off, may be better off working with something part time or casual that way he gets to pick and choose which days he wants to work and which days not to work.

Another possibility--above you listed McLane.

I saw a job posting for them in Dothan, AL.

I'm not suggesting the OP move....especially to Dothan (he could do a lot worse, though)--but the job ad was (also) for full-time - OR - part-time drivers.

Thus--inquire about the same, there locally...as appropriate/if needed.
