It's one thing to do it in van, but tanker/bulk is a whole different story. Every tanker I know is running balls out.

@freightwipper sorry if my last post came across douchey. I wasn't trying to insult the van guys, it's just SNI seems to want to pay tanker guys van rates when it costs a lot of money for the equipment required and it pisses me off when companies treat the tanker yankers like we're worth less then what we're really worth.

I'm only sticking with it because my wife makes more than I ever have. We were golden before this. Now she's just barely covering the bills.

I took a plane home 3 days for xmass but other than that I haven't been home. There's a couple loads going to within 150 miles of Atlanta every week but I'm never near them. So I been on the road for four months straight and still only taking home $200-$600.

Schneider's tanks guys have starved for close to 20 years.....

You need to get a plan together and get out..... You can't pay for a truck with that kind of work.

You do what you want to, but there are numerous companies that pay way better (you deserve way more then you're getting paid) and you can get home every week or two and still clear $2,500 or better if you run a little. Tankers have never been about lots of miles, it's about less miles more money. Personally, I'm pissed when my settlement is under $3,000

Going back to my days were Schneider 17 years ago when Lofgren took over as CEO there was a lot of word going around that he was a jerk and for all intents and purposes it certainly looks like he's extremely greedy and I know people in the past owner operators with Sni told him off before...

Oh, he's a jerk all right. The only thing he's good at is corporate politics. Unfortunately he's very good at that.

Basically, yeah. ICs are making the company drivers go broke and ICs are barely paying for the truck.

I'm looking at other companies to take my truck to. Nothing is really looking good for my home area. I'm open to suggestions. Looking back I should have just gone to Love's since they have a terminal near my house. But what's done is done.
