Since ngb have been around i always wonder who would want anything but. GB are an outdated setup in my opinion

ground bearing is light years ahead of a mechanical in my way of thinking but you a are limited in ground clearance ( you can only shim a neck so much) and really what detach works great in a uneven slop hole? just because it doesn't say trail king, fontaine or talbert doesnt make it a pos

Still better than GB but I do prefer Hydraulic.

On most GB trailers I've seen, you could use it like a mechanical if you wanted to.

Haven't dealt with many. In reality most of what I need an RGN for it really doesn't matter which type I use as most of my loads are craned on & off.
That being said, I prefer the hydraulic for the ability to adjust the height as needed. All ours have override valves for the air bags so you can easily pump them up or down if needed too. -
Never tried a mechanical neck. I've watched guys try to pin them up and decided that I will never own one. My temisko has nEver had a problem pinning up in unlevel terrain
