What you had was a Hamburger Steak. Dont get me wrong, both are just hamburger. But just because its ground hamburger, the difference sometimes is if its ground chuck or ground rib-eye etc. Depending on what cut of meat they grind up, makes the difference in the quality.
Hamburger Steak is cooked in gravy & onions ... basically. Then cooks sometimes use their own touch to make it different.
Chopped steak is also ground beef & again, depends on the cut of meat used, defines the difference. A Chopped Steak is usually grilled & seasoned. Then depending on each persons preference, may use steak sauce like A-1 or 57. A Chopped steak is also commonly served along with eggs for breakfast, with a side or two of grits or hash browns etc & toast.

Attraction had nothing to do with it. One was a mom with 4 girls in school I think and the other was approaching social security when she waddled out with the food for the tables.

The service was absolute first rate. I did not go in there to be demanding at all. I had too many miles on me that day in particular and had several really simple demands. A gallon of tea, bunch of breakfast food (I don't care what. hot and fast) and leave me be until I quit eating and drinking. We settle up then.

Only took a couple hours to get that 2000 mile run out of me. (Only they don't know that. The local law was in there fetching breakfast too. It was a beautiful day for everyone.)

If a town is that small and only has good people working hard to make a living any way they can like that, it's certainly a possibility to move to someday if things get too much BS here in Arkansas.

It's not a truck stop is the thing however there is quite a bit of truck parking within easy walking distance. They also have a full bar. I'm not sure if they have daily lunch specials. I'm always through or break there in the evening

We used to go to Green Bay most weeks but not going that way anymore. But I got it wrong, it was Plainview, up at where wi 26 ended.

I was going to Milwaukee, alot, but we are cross docking some of that now, too. The bulk packs, totes, combos, or whatever they're called, can't be relayed by different entities. Green Bay was one of those.

What everyone seems to be describing is a dish I know as Salisbury steak.

I'll google search the differences between chopped steak, Hamburger steak, and Salisbury steak.

Whatever it's called, it's a dish I don't order. I don't like the flavor or texture. It sure does smell good, though.( At most places.)

Nope, a big disappointment. And thanks for correcting my spelling, Planeview is right, just a little ways from the planes at Oshkosh.

Salisbury steak should be a thin "steak" of one cut or another and beaten (tenderized) with a meat mallet, then cooked, then slow-simmered in some type of tomato and onion "sauce". Those are okay, too in some cases. You'll usually see this offered on a lunch special.
