Things are different when you are a lease/purchase operator versus being an owner-operator. As an L/P operator, they have you in the palm of their hand. The truck belongs to them! And you are at their mercy! Leasing on as an O/O would be much different, I'm sure, as evidenced by another poster who was happy with them.

Has anyone worked for Christenson Transportation? They are based out of Springfield MO, but also have a terminal in Lebanon, TN. My partner and I are looking into this outfit and would like to hear the real deal. Thanks, all.

Their DriverSEA is 77.10 and their ISS-D Recommendation=INSPECT. There seems to be an industry-wide trend toward unloading the "worst of the worst" drivers so my guess is that they might be on the hunt!

Ya lost me--I'm new to the trucking industry, what is a driverSEA and an ISS-D?
JustSonny Thanks this. -
The DriverSEA (Safety Evaluation Area) is part of a carriers "SafeStat" score. Anything above 75 "ain't so good". The ISS (Inspection Selection System)-D Recommendation is sort of a "magnet"- it seems to draw LEOs like flies. Google SafeStat and/or Safersys and/or ISS-D. I'm a wannabe too and I've found this info good to know, particularly with CSA 2010 knocking at the door!Saddle Tramp Thanks this.
