Most of the trees are delivered down here in reefers.
My godfather brought a load down here for a seller a few times when he was running reefer in the early ‘90’s.

Gary Wills or Jack Gray ? Kephart I remember. The stench in t/s and rest areas I remember all too well. Thanks for the memories. NOT

I think it was Gray in Delaware and Wills out of Ohio somewhere.

cke, D.Tibbitt and Ruthless Thank this.

I don’t remember the lettering. I was through the Water Gap 3-4 days and nights a week back in 88-92. Ancient history for me.

    cke and bzinger Thank this.

Here in Oregon , a lot of the tree farms use helicopters to snatch them up and put them in the bed of straight trucks, then they take them who knows where. It’s pretty wild to see choppers dangling Xmas trees. I wouldn’t think it would be cost effective, but some of these tree farms are on slopes only a mountain goat would like so getting a truck close to the trees is impossible.
Some of those straight trucks I’ve seen have got to be 15’ tall with trees, I guess Santa works for DOT.
