The best gift is spending extra time with the family.

I'm not religious but my husband was raised catholic. So we're having lasagna for Xmas! :)
No gifts. Just food and booze.

Y'all enjoy the Holidays, whichever one you celebrate!

While not the actual birth date of JESUS it is the day we celebrate.

You wrote it right... now I know it...
I used to spend Christmas with my parents till I was 19 or so when I left their home... then I would always work my but off till evening of Christmas eve selling art-craft on the streets in Rio and then would go home (my own home) and sleep till noon of Christmas day and then would call my parents to wish them a happy Christmas day...
Then, I came to the USA about 27 yrs ago and my ex-husband and I didn't care much about Christmas celebrations and gifts.. as we were always working hard and none of us had any family...
Since I divorced over 15 yrs ago I don't spend Christmas with anybody... always trucking on the road...
2006 was the last Christmas I spent with my mom... in bed with her at the hospital... dad went home cause he wasn't allowed in the room.... she was very ill and died 5 months after that when I was already back in the USA.
I was planning staying with dad at the end of this year... but unfortunately he passed away last September in front of my eyes here in Brasil...
This Christmas, I will stay in this hotel apartment.... quiet... Would like to go to a church in the evening.. but don't think there will be any open...
Sorry for the long posting.. I wanted to vent....

One reason I agreed to usher duty at my church is as a penance of sorts. If they knew my past they’d want me burned at the stake.
