I got my daughter a full semester of nursing college. She could use a new car, but I'm too poor. Unless you want to go fund her lol

This. He's five, bright, good-natured, and...has less than zero coordination.

And if the boy is 5 years old, how much do you expect from him?
Because I suspect the boy is the younger of the two, what with the daughter being good at math and able to catch anything you throw at her.

    A Texan thing.
    Right.

Maybe the Texas Secret Service could use him in some other capacity?

    WesternPlains Thanks this.

He will grow up and buy property, own land and take pride in what he owns, what he worked for. It probably will not happen but if it comes down to someone trying to take what you own or what you love then his daddy gave him a good gift of self defense.

It also just builds confidence in general. It teaches you to be proud of what you own and protect what you have.

What I own is just stuff.
    Why take pride in it?

Pride is just a pedestal that you alone put yourself on.
    It means absolutely nothing.

From an existential point of view you are right. However since there's no way to prove or disprove reality we should assume that what we experience and what we feel is correct, as mother nature intended. Own land, protect it, secure yourself and your families future, love people. Be happy.

If there is no way to prove anything is real, then our feelings are equally suspect.

But I put to you this notion...
Just the fact that we are conversing proves reality exists at some level.
Even if it is conversing with oneself in a fractured dream state.

Thought, at any level, can not exist if there is no reality.

    WesternPlains and TravR1 Thank this.
